LET OUR BEACHES SOOTHE YOUR SOUL THIS SUMMER!!
"WALK IN SOMEONE
ELSE'S SHOES . . . OR GO BAREFOOT!
IT CHANGES YOU." --- Anthony Bourdain
Lake Michigan is the reason we live here and we don't want
you to miss any of its magic. There are countless beaches
where you can dip your toes in the water, walk or run for
10 miles, body surf, beach comb, build sand castles, sail
surf, fish, meander down the river to the Big Lake in a
kayak, Retro, Cycle or Paddle Boat. From dawn to watching
shooting stars magic happens at our beaches
Start your day at Breakfast at Wickwood with ripe local
strawberries in our Very Berry Bowl, garnishing our
Bismarcks with Lemon Cream, drizzled over homemade
granola, lusciously hand-dipped in chocolate, or with a
bite of Triple Crème Brie on crostini. Grab towels, some
beach chairs, a book and head for a full day of play at
the beach. Beach comb. Be a kid again. Then, amble back to
Wickwood in time for Sips & Small Plates at Six before
wandering out our front door. From every direction, you'll
hear live music in the air playing from all around town.
"The slow breeze and the warm sun write our memories."
--- Debasish Mridha
